The Australia Week Munich 2022 is intended to help reflect Germany’s friendship and cooperation with Australia. It should present the diversity of Australia, lead to art, culture and knowledge exchange and connect people, societies and economy of Germany with those of Australia.
Australia Week provides a forum for art and music, young companies, researchers, universities, sustainable, green and modern industries from Germany and Australia to present themselves and engage in an all-encompassing, multi-layered, close dialogue.
A recent excellent example of cooperation for the future is the German – Australian Hydrogen Accord.
The focus of Australia Week is Queensland and its capital Brisbane.
The Olympic City 2032 Brisbane as one of the most important locations in Australia for research, green hydrogen, universities, art & culture and diversity, is the guest of Australia Week Munich 2022.
Australian art and music from Queensland and Munich offers a forum for encounters and dialogue. The diversity and spectrum of Australia Week is broad and open and is intended to present the diversity of Australia, lead to cultural and knowledge exchange and connect people, societies and economies of Bavaria and Munich with those of Queensland and Brisbane.
Partner festival in this initiative is the BRISBANE GERMAN WEEK.
The idea is to showcase Brisbane in Munich as well as Australian art & culture, music & festivals, festivals & lifestyle, science & green industries, universities & research centers, entrepreneurship & innovative spirit.
This festival is expected to grow and appear each year with new focuses and themes. Of course, it will not come by itself and needs supporters, funding, voluntary and yet highly professional work until it will be established. But, exactly that is our aim and our aspiration.

We want to show the unique span from 90.000 years old cultures to the modern age, in art and music of the Aborigines and new, western culture. Because, that symbolizes this wonderful country Australia: Wonderland of cultures, animals, landscapes and most innovative developments to green economy from energy to space research.
